BIOS THAT WILL PROVOKE CHANGE: 30 day challenge

You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary  Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. Revelation 2:3-5

"Do the things you did at first"...
at times i find my eyes somewhere else besides JESUS's face and that is when i go back and do the things that bring me back to repentance and to HIS face.

One of the things that helps me is this great resource of short Bios of men and women in history who have sought JESUS.... BEWARE THOUGH...

reading these stories will challenge the way you live and love God. If you aren't ready for the challenge, don't read them.

It is kind of like a smack across the face.... they help you to see life is but a breath and evaluate what you are really living for. They teach you what it means to seize the day.

They are put together by some good friends whom God put across my path years ago to stir my faith and years later they still do.

Join me for the next 30 days and read them...if you so dare... we are going to try to read them as a family. :)

My dear little Kaaliya believes Jesus is real and did what He said He did and she decided to make Him her boss for life this week. And at age 10, with faith that can move a mountain, she is showing and telling her family about the joy of her life JESUS! Please pray for my sweet little friend, that her faith would grow despite opposition and for protection from evil.

my SUPERHEROS

Superhero Party for the Boys

Every celebration in our home shouts out that GOD is amazing and alive. Birthdays are a great time to celebrate the miracle of life and another year with the treasured gift He has given us.

The boys had a Superhero Party this year celebrating 5 years of life for Elijah and 3 for Jeriah with some of there "friends". Pics below. They are still sporting their capes around the house... in fact Elijah wore his everywhere for a least a week afterward.... even to sleep. :)

all you need to make a cape is some scrap fabric and velcro and a needle and thread.. though here is a  good tutorial to get a more detailed cape... http://www.howdoesshe.com/super-hero-cape

(with a little fabric glue we added letters to the capes and made super hero disguises out of easy to cut and not need for hemming fleece fabric)

trust in chariots

what we are not suppose to do...
i know that i need to look through the eyes of faith but somehow trusting in what I can see with my physical eyes comes way to easily.

Last week for a lot longer than i would like to admit, fear trapped me. Holly had a hard week. We found out it was radiation pneumonia which they had predicted. She is nice and drugged up now...happy and healing, but fear captured me.

I know that this is lung cancer we are talking about here, stage 4, and that ONLY a supernatural miracle will work to give her a long life...but at the first sign of sickness since her good news... i doubted... i feared.... my eyes went off of Jesus and on to Holly's weak stature...i let tons of faithless thoughts run through my mind.

Please pray for FAITH and for HOPE in HIM for all of us! Please pray for a supernatural miracle!!

Psalm 20:7

New International Version (NIV)
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God

results

every day of my life i can brag on my GREAT GOD and what i have seen Him do and I have seen so many things this past week that one post can hardly hold it all. My top 7...

1. The many people from all over our community who said yes to God and gave an hour, a day, or a week to serve with joy and sweat at Proceeds for Poverty (P4P).

2.  God working through Roy and Nancy Carter, 2 people who gave not only the past week but last serval months. Along with others Roy picked up 66 loads of stuff! They both gave their all to Jesus and served with joy and His strength. He leads by example and encouraged us all.

3. The many people (many from different churches) who made doll dresses to sale, baked goodies, posted signs, organized pickups, gave out brochures....they said YES GOD and took action to show love to the poor and needy.

4. My sister who came and served with us for a few hours. This is just a testament of God's healing in her body and His grace to give her the strength and will.

5. God working despite the heat and storm to make over $17,000 at the sale, along with a $10,000 donation, and a late donation of around $2,500 to give us almost $30,000 from Proceeds for Poverty this year......HE LOVES AND RESCUES THE POOR AND NEEDY!

6. Kaaliya's face as she dug through a box of clothes, belts, underwear, shoes, and even a bathing suit that Lorrie, by God's wisdom, put together for her from the TUGA loot. God knew her need and made a way for us to meet it through obedient people who give and Lorrie who picked it out.

7. My children who learned about Him through Edith being obedient and teaching them and so many other children all throughout the week.

Isaiah 41:17-20

17 “When the poor and needy search for water and there is none,
and their tongues are parched from thirst,
then I, the Lord, will answer them.
    I will never abandon them.
18 I will open up rivers for them on the high plateaus.
I will give them fountains of water in the valleys.
I will fill the desert with pools of water.
Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground.
19 I will plant trees in the barren desert—
cedar, acacia, myrtle, olive, cypress, fir, and pine.
20 I am doing this so all who see this miracle
    will understand what it means—
that it is the Lord who has done this,
the Holy One who created it.
