praying for hubby verses

Before i even knew Jonathan i was praying for him (praying for my husband). Prayer is talking to God: realizing who He is (His being, His power, His grace) and realizing my great need for Him.  Years ago i started praying scripture over Jonathan and really over myself... when you are talking to God and in His presence He has a way of humbling you. When i go to pray these for Him i find myself recognizing my great need for the fruit of these prayers as well. God's words have a way of doing that... like holding up a mirror....seeing myself for who i really am and seeing what needs to change. James 1:22-24

Here are the scriptures i pray consistently for my earthly love, Jonathan, and also myself.

one sleep

"one sleep" till daddy gets home and we all are giddy. It seems like he has been gone forever. I am glad all of you friends have enjoyed traveling the world with my hubby, i am glad he obeys God and goes, but this time more than ever i just want him home! I don't mean to be selfish but i am a little tired of sharing my best friend/partner/co-parent/husband with the world. I just want to curl up in his arms and listen to his voice echo in his chest and look into his eyes.... :)

but back to reality now.....he is only home for 6 days before he is off again and 4 of those days he is going to be jet laged and a bit grumpy.... none the less i am determined to give lots of grace!! We will take him jet laged and we will take him grumpy!!!! We are just thankful to have him back in our arms!

my grandpa passed away this week.
i miss my husband
i feel like i can't do anything right
i wish that time would stop for the world and give me at least 5 to 10 hours extra each day
feels like Jonathan has been gone forever... i feel so sad for all those single moms out there... i am so short tempered and my patience left last week.
we started home school this week

my house is a mess
i have seen so many divesting things in others lives recently
the adoption stuff is so confusing

okay as i am writing this i am realizing i need to turn it around and count my blessings and remember the wonderful deeds HE has done

3. We have plenty of food to eat
5.  The boys laughter when we all jumped outside tonight
6. Perpetua's squeal and smile
7. Talking with 2 heros who will celebrate 40 years of marriage this weekend... through thick and thin together always so inspiring
8. Chocolate Milk
9. GRACE
10. God's words washing me
11. God's presence.... He is always with me.
12. He is always with Grandma
13. He is always with Mom
14. He is always with Nicole.
15. He is always with Rebecca.
16. He is with my soon to be children.

Okay.... so needed.....now i want to cry again but this time because i am overwhelmed as i count HIS blessings.
Jehovah Shammah, I love You!!!!

5 things momahood has taught me

5 of the things being a moma has taught me (in my short 5 years of experience thus far)

1. Present for your children is something you are not something you give.
2. Hold, listen, and enjoy them today because there's no promise of tomorrow.
3. Listen to them all of the time and some of the time you will be laughing and most of the time you will be learning.
4. A gift for your children that lasts for eternity is the gift worth investing time and money into and provides a lifetime of appreciation.
5. Set out to teach your children about Jesus and you will learn just as much if not more.

6 month sweet potato

Perpetua is 6 months old today. Hard to believe ....she has grown up in a blink. She loves her constantly entertaining older brothers, her daddy and especially her moma. She has a few tricks and an adorable baby cackle.

I love snuggling with her and seeing the wonder and pure joy in her face. What a gift from God, one that i do not take for granted.
